Re: Current: New Work by Sonja Thomsen.
The gallery is pleased to present the first solo exhibition by Sonja Thomsen, a Milwaukee photographer whose work has been shown widely throughout the United States as well as abroad. Thomsen describes her newest body of work as an exploration of cyclical time. Through photography and installation, she says, she intends for her work to engage the relationship between "instant and existence." Much of the exhibition's work was produced at the Hermitage Artist Retreat on the Manasota Key in Florida where Thomsen was an artist in residence in 2008.
